Kallee's Rolls

2 Tbsp. yeast (2 pkg)
1/4 c. warm water (not too hot/not too cool)
1/2 c. melted margarine
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. milk
5 c. flour

Dissolve yeast and 1/4 cup water till it bubbles. (we add a tiny bit of sugar to the mix). In microwave, scald milk and margarine. Beat eggs till fluffy and add sugar and salt. Add milk and margarine, then yeast mixture. Add 5 to 5 1/2 cups flour. Let dough rise in 2 parts. Roll each part into a circle and butter. Cut into 12 wedges. Roll each wedge. Rise in pans for 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. (Thank you Kallee Allen for the recipe, it is one of my very favorites!)

Tell me exactly what scalding means please!

I microwave the butter until it's liquid - then I add the milk and microwave for about 1.5 mins. Scalding is just really really hot. One thing though - when you add the milk to everything, be sure to mix it for a bit while it cools before adding the yeast or it will kill the yeast. Also, when the dough is done it's really sticky and rather moist.
